This policy highlights areas of consideration for residential homes when attempting to prevent the occurrence and transmission of Norovirus and also how to treat a resident who has already contracted the Norovirus.

services, the Interim Guidance Note on Managing Norovirus in Residential Care Settings (March 2023) and ‘Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) National Clinical Guideline No. 30’ and ‘Interim Guidance Note on Managing Norovirus in Residential Care Settings’ (November 2023).
