It is essential that the admission of residents to the residential home is timely and planned in a safe, fair manner to facilitate the resident’s needs. This policy highlights the necessary steps to make admissions as efficient and effective as possible for both staff and residents.

This policy has been updated to incorporate ‘Public Health & Infection Prevention & Control Guidelines on the Prevention and Management of Cases and Outbreaks of COVID-19, Influenza & other Respiratory Infections in Residential Care Facilities V1.11 04.04.2023. Implementation Date 19.04.2023’ and also has moderate updates to incorporate request for details regarding Decision Support Agreements as part of the pre-admission assessment process.
