By Implementing the requirements detailed in this procedure, the residential home can ensure that the residential home provides communal and bedroom accommodation to residents with sufficient space to cater for each resident’s individual assessed needs, taking into account their privacy and dignity requirements (HIQA, 2016).
This policy has been updated to incorporate ‘Infection Control Guiding Principles for Buildings Acute Hospitals and Community Settings Version 6’.
