Clean linen is a fundamental requirement for resident care and to minimise the risk of infection for residents and staff. The use of this policy will assist in the residential home managing the linen and laundry requirements to meet the resident’s needs.

This policy has been updated to incorporate ‘Public Health & Infection prevention & Control Guidelines on the Prevention and Management of Cases and Outbreaks of COVID-19, Influenza & other Respiratory Infections in Residential Care Facilities V1.5 16.05.2022’ and ‘Community Infection Prevention and Control Manual: A practical guide to implementing Standard and Transmission-Based Precautions in Community Health and Social Care Settings’.
