Regular audits need to be undertaken to assess, evaluate and improve the provision of services in a systematic way to achieve best outcomes for residents (HIQA 2016). All residential home audits are approved, scheduled, managed and closed out in a standardised manner with appropriate post audit actions to be taken. This policy assists in ensuring the audit process is carried out thoroughly.
